Members of Cotton Seed Distributors Ltd. (CSD) have elected Louise Hill to the company’s Board of Directors, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on June 16.
Louise will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Joanne Grainger, whose term finished at the AGM after nine years on the CSD Board. CSD Chair, James Kahl paid tribute to the outgoing director.
“Joanne’s experience in policy development and advocacy for the cotton industry at both federal and state level has been a great asset for CSD, and we thank her for her commitment and service to our organisation.”
Newly elected director, Louise Hill has been involved in the St George area in an irrigation farming family for over 20 years. She is also the managing director of agribusiness law firm, LH Law.
Commenting on the election, James Kahl said “Louise brings a diverse skill set to the Board from her experience as an agribusiness owner, lawyer, practicing accountant and nationally accredited mediator. We welcome her to the Board of Directors.”
The CSD Board has also recently appointed non-executive director, Andrew Guthrie in May 2021. “Andrew has spent over 30 years in regional development and management within the Syngenta group,” said James Kahl. “His knowledge of the participants in global agriculture industries and ability to see and develop business opportunities will serve CSD well.”
Current Directors, Matthew Norrie and Cleave Rogan were also re-elected at the AGM.
Led by Chair, James Kahl, the CSD Board of Directors includes Managing Director, Peter Graham; Vice Chair, Tony Quigley; Nigel Corish, Andrew Guthrie, Juanita Hamparsum, Louise Hill, Matthew Norrie, Doug Rathbone and Cleave Rogan.
